By downloading, installing, or using the NewsCY application (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. App Description

NewsCY is a paid news aggregator application that collects and displays publicly available RSS news feeds from Cypriot and international media outlets. The App provides optional AI-powered translation and push notification services.

3. Purchase & Subscription

The App is available for purchase through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Pricing is set at the time of purchase and may vary by region.

All purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their respective payment terms. NewsCY does not handle payment information directly. Refund requests are subject to the policies of the relevant app store.

4. Intellectual Property

The NewsCY app, its design, and original content are the intellectual property of NewsCY and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

News articles and headlines displayed in the App are the property of their respective publishers and are retrieved from publicly available RSS feeds. NewsCY claims no ownership over third-party content and displays it with full source attribution.

5. AI Translation

Translations are generated automatically and provided for informational convenience only. NewsCY does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of translated content. Always refer to the original source for authoritative information.

6. Push Notifications

Push notifications are entirely optional. You may enable or disable them at any time through your device settings. NewsCY will not send promotional messages through the notification system.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its backend services
Redistribute or resell access to the App

8. Third-Party Content & Links

The App displays content from third-party news sources. NewsCY is not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of any third-party content. Links to external websites are provided for your convenience; NewsCY has no control over those sites and accepts no responsibility for them.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. NewsCY does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NewsCY shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the App, even if NewsCY has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Changes to These Terms

NewsCY reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will endeavour to notify users of material changes via an in-app notice.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
